~*Hiatus*~: Bleh!

So I have been kicked outta the kitchen. Which is not cool, cuz it is the only place I can paint. so I had to move my paintings to the shed for a couple days, cuz it started raining. Adding insult to injury, I am completely and utterly under the weather. Catching a cold just when everything is starting to go bad, I cannot stand that…. but I am working on a computer art piece that I drew up and I’ll include some sketches with it.  If you like go to my writer’s blog and I’ll be posting some poems and stories. Here is a pic that I drew for a possible tattoo design, my brother saw it and wanted to do it but hasn’t yet because of money issues. lol

~*Updates*~

~Started working on another of my paintings that is almost finished, I think that this will be done sooner than the magnolia one, but that’s okay. The one I am working on now is a Lotus blossom up close, The background is finished as far as I know unless I want to do anything else to it, I need to put finishing touches on the shadows, but the flower is half way done, I still can’t quite get the color the way I want it. once I do it will definitely pop!~

~*Painting: Magnolia Blossoms*~

So I started on my painting. I have the background color an off white  and will start on the flower soon.  It seems as soon as I choose to do something, like the painting, everyone decides to descend upon the very room that I decide to work in. If I changed rooms I would get the don’t get paint on the carpet speech. lol

Still it wouldn’t be so bad if it was just one person, but three people, two dogs, and a cat?  That is just how it is I guess.

~*ART*~: Painting

I have decided to start another painting. It is similar to the styling of Georgia O’Keeffe. I am thinking along the lines of a Magnolia close up. I have worked with tiger lilies in the past and loved how they turned out.  It will be an oil painting.  On a large canvas, I don’t have the exact measurements down, but it is a large canvas.   I will post a pic of the finished product later, and some preliminary sketches as I think about the composition. I have two other art pieces that are graphic art pieces that I will be posting. One is a funny little creature that I had drawn and expanded on for fun. The other is a tattoo design for a friend of mine that I have been working on. For now here is another little piece of my imagination running away with me. I may do it over in paintshop. It is entitled: The thoughts that feed my mind.
